DESIGN: Aka Fuji Red Mt. Fuji

Red Mt. Fuji has been one of favorite Mr. Fuji that Japanese idolized. The beauty of it is that blue Mt. Fuji turns burning red, standing tall in clear blue sky. Red Mt. Fuji is no myth; it can be seen during late summer to early autumn mornings when the sun rises, exactly as this artwork. The cherry blossom and their blowing petals adds to the Japanese-feel of Mt. Fuji and this piece.

KAZAN CORPORATION (MANEMON KILN): TOP ARITA PORCELAIN BRAND CATCHING THE EYE OF JAPANESE IMPERIAL FAMILY

Aritayaki, or proudly presented to the world as Arita Porcelain, was first made in 1592 as hakuji (white porcelain) from porcelain stone found at the Arita Izumi-yama. Since, Arita has been known as the origin of fine porcelain and a place where craftsmanship has been inherited.

Manemon, the first establisher of the Arita Porcelain kiln now known as Kazan Corporation, was certified as the Nabeshima Domain kiln in 1797. His luxurious, gorgeous and fine creations touched the heart of the Nabeshima Domain Lord and his daughter, the princess, was sent to the kiln to praise the artisan. Successor of Manemon Kiln has sent out his creations throughout Japan and to the world such as offering large porcelain lanterns to the gods at distinguished shrines of Sumiyoshi Taisha (Osaka), Kitano-Tenmangu (Kyoto), Konpiragu (Kagawa), displaying artwork at Chicago World's Columbian Exposition in 1893, and humbly delivering his creations to the imperial family.

Time is their assured quality and trust for their craftsmanship. Since the opening of the kiln 200 years back, Manemon Kiln has been producing exceptional art pieces with pride --Preserving traditional hand-making and hand-drawing Arita Porcelain technique. Manemonfs artwork is elegant and gorgeous; recipe succeeded only by Manemon of each generation, sophisticated colored glaze and indigo underglaze on exceptionally white porcelain attracts and is praised by many Arita Porcelain fans.
